Eco-sustainability, energy saving and safety in industrial refrigeration? It’s possible, thanks to the NMB fans from Fandis.
Who builds applications and machinery for the cold knows that the main doubtful factor is the proper refrigerant choice.
Is there the perfect coolant?
Although the market has been encouraged toward finding innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions, it does not yet exist a refrigerant fluid capable of ensuring high energy efficiency with a reduced environmental impact, allow low installation and maintenance costs, without being toxic and flammable.
Why is propane chosen as refrigerant?
None of the refrigerants currently on the market has never been able to guarantee a perfect response to all these requirements. At the regulatory level, however, they tried to limit the use of synthetic refrigerants, as the most common HFCs, unfortunately highly polluting and with a non-negligible impact to ozone damage, in favor of natural refrigerants with low environmental impact, including propane.
Is propane gas safe?
The propane is used in various refrigeration applications having a good energy efficiency, low environmental impact, combined with a low cost per kg. However, due to its high flammability it requires particularly complicated installation and raises concerns from the safety point of view both during use and maintenance operations.
It follows that all components installed on equipment that uses propane must meet specific regulatory requirements. Among these components, there are also the NMB fans from Fandis.
Why do choose a FAndis NMB fan on a propane gas system?
Fandis has TÜV approved their fan models NMB 4715MS 23TB10 / TB20 / TB30 and 4715MS 23TB50NA0 according to the requirements of IEC 60335-2-89, guaranteeing them against the risk of sparks during operation. The operational safety of the NMB fans is then secured to a constructional level, making them suitable for use in refrigerated counters that use propane gas. With this approval, it is possible for the manufacturer to choose safely propane gas, limiting the environmental damage caused by the use of synthetic refrigerants.
