Safety at work is not a matter of fashion, nor should it be a passing predisposition. That’s why, concerning safety of electrical panels, Fandis has recently added to its product range a signal light which, although already known to the market, still retains its usefulness and importance, when you work on enclosures.
Flash Device is a light signal from Indacus series meant to enrich the range of products dedicated to switchboards. It consists of a system of three flashing lights, which come into function when an electric panel is in tension, making the inspection and maintenance phases safer.
Why do we choose to introduce three lights?
Because the Flash Device signaling device can be installed in single-phase systems (and, in this case, the three lights indicate simply the presence or absence of voltage in the framework) and in three-phase systems, used in industries, where loads of higher voltage are distributed on three different stages. Also, in addition to functioning as a voltage indicator, it may also indicate the lack of one or more phases.
Fandis Flash Device, then, is a signaling device designed to prevent accidents by alerting the operator and warning him of the presence of voltage in the electric system. The signal is communicated by the three red lights, made even more visible by their intermittent lighting to increase the idea of a hazard warning, and not a simple “operation” of the system.
Plus, the Flash Device signaling device for electrical panels can be easily mounted on top of the electrical enclosure, and you can install it with one or two limit switches.
Usually, the first limit switch supplied has the function to turn off the flash device when the electrical cabinet door is closed, to avoid its lights continuing to flash and, therefore, saving energy. The second switch, instead, could automatically disconnect the voltage from the electrical panel, at the door opening.
So, the enclosure is never working, then? No. When you’re working on an electrical panel probably you need to have it under tension, to be able to control some operation. That’s why the Fandis Flash Device also allows you to simulate the closure of the electrical panel, to turn on the switchboards. And that’s why, in these situations it is very useful that a light signal remember to all present that you are working on a power supplied enclosure!
Thanks to the solution proposed by Fandis Flash Device, therefore, it is possible to obtain a unit that integrates both a signaling and a security system.
