The first quarter of 2020 is about to end, and despite the adversities, we managed to confirm our participation in MEE Dubai 2020, held from 3 to 5 March.
MEE Dubai changes its name!
The first news of this year is that the exhibition has changed its name: while keeping the acronym unchanged, it has changed its mission, moving from Middle East Electricity to Middle East Energy.
In essence, little has changed: the message to be grasped, however, is the attention to the use and design of systems that no longer have the only purpose of “electrifying the area”, but the highest one of a progressive energy optimization.
The 2020 edition of MEE Dubai
Due to the emergency regarding the spread of Covid-19, unfortunately, the atmosphere of the 2020 fair was very different from that perceived in past years: the number of visitors and exhibitors was decidedly reduced and the curiosity to get in touch with customers and potential customers has gone, if compared to the fear of having contacts with potentially infected people. Situation unimaginable only a few days before, when the expectations related to this trade fair were of a completely different level, also thanks to the Universal Exposition scheduled for next October and which in recent years has given a significant boost to the economy of the entire area.
Fandis as a partner of progress worldwide
Even Fandis had to review his expectations very quickly and even with some doubts and fears we decided not to miss the appointment.
In retrospect, we believe that the choice to participate was still correct and the developments of the contacts received will give us reason, or not.
Today, we can say that in spite of the bad feelings, at MEE Dubai 2020 Fandis has collected 70 contacts between customers and prospects, from the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Australia, and also from numerous other states between Africa and the Middle East.
What does the future bring?
It will be our commercial ability to correctly read the signals that the market will give us, and any developments in the various countries to determine the next actions: we will channel the energies on those markets that can contribute to obtaining the results closest to the set objectives, in order to maintain stability and promoting growth which has never been lacking in recent years.
