Fandis‘ recent participation in the 12th edition of SPS Italia, held from May 28 to 30, 2024, at the Fiere di Parma – Italy, proved to be a great success. The fair, considered an unmissable event for the manufacturing industry, saw the presence of 40,133 visitors, all looking towards a 5.0, sustainable, and human-centric future.
SPS Italia: a platform for innovation
The 12th edition of SPS Italia showcased significant growth, attracting the attention of companies to the best technologies for the production system. Key topics included artificial intelligence, IT/IIoT, robotics, mechatronics, additive manufacturing, and sustainability. The events and conferences saw a large audience, with notable contributions like that of Raffaele Spallone from MIMIT, highlighting the potential of the Transition 5.0 Plan for more sustainable and competitive production.
The importance of education and networking
Within the Education area, students had the opportunity to engage with the exhibited technologies and, additionally, the presentation of the second edition of the Position Paper “Towards a Human-Centric Digital Transformation” provided a general overview and specific insights into the technological evolution of Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
Donald Wich, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Italia, emphasized the success of the event: “Over the three days, we recorded a very high turnout, a sign of an increasingly concrete awareness among companies about innovation as a necessary path to achieve competitiveness and sustainability goals. SPS Italia was a winning mix of meetings, technologies, training, and new skills for a new idea of the factory, where the most advanced solutions are at the service of people.”
