On 14 October, Fandis participated in the eighth edition of the Forum Meccatronica, the event conceived by the Mechatronics Group of ANIE Automazione and organized in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt Italia. The event was finally held in presence in Parma, and the theme was “Let’s design the smart industry of the future together”.
During the Forum, the most important suppliers of mechatronic solutions operating on the Italian market explored different aspects such as motion control, robotics, industrial software, plant engineering, with particular attention to shared and efficient design and technologies for smart production, also through concrete experiences of integration.
The enthusiasm for this edition was global, and the exhibitors recreated the “live” relationship with customers, with 340 visitors and applause of satisfaction at the end of the presentation by each speaker.
What is mechatronics?
Mechatronics is the synergy between different technological disciplines, in particular those relating to mechanical systems, electronic systems and information technologies, which are strictly interconnected. Its application in modern production contexts has then become synonymous with Industry 4.0.
The goal
To support the relaunch of the economic-productive system, the Italian manufacturing industry has understood that it’s essential to focus on safe production and consumption models, based on flexibility, digitization and environmental sustainability, in line with the EU requirements.
In recent years, also as a response to the containment procedures due to the pandemic, we have moved from the idea of having to undertake this path “sooner or later”, to its actual realization. Suppliers have proposed effective solutions and customers have implemented them with different levels of complexity, but both with the vision of generating new digital business models.
The transformation of work organization through automation and digitalization will therefore have a decisive contribution to the growth and economic sustainability of Italy, in order to produce efficiently and to be able to respond more effectively to market demand.
Fandis a Forum Meccatronica
As we have seen, Forum Meccatronica is structured as a moment of confrontation between the players in the industrial automation chain: the interventions have seen the alternation of experts from technology suppliers, with the moderation of university professors, OEMs and End Users, while in the exhibition area has been possible to deepen the technological aspects dealt with in the conferences.
Fandis participated in the Forum Meccatronica as part of the comparison on the Performance of Mechatronic Systems, with an intervention by our Technical Department Manager, Alberto Tonietti, who spoke about Smart Thermal Management, or the digitization of electrical panels through predictive maintenance, collection data to intervene in real time, preserving the health of the machinery and improving its energy efficiency.
Here is his interview.
If you missed the event, full video recordings and single video recordings are available on web, with the possibility for users to activate them in on-demand mode.
