As you may have read here, in Fandis we care very much about the future of our children and we like when they participate in our working days. But… what if it would happen the other way around? If the game were to get into an austere and serious environment as that of one of the most famous universities in the world?

Oh yeah! Renowned for its high educational level and its imposing presence on the scene as the fourth oldest university in the world, the University of Cambridge in the UK is looking for someone who can occupy the “chair of Lego”, the most famous brick of the world.
The candidate will not necessarily need to know bricks and buildings since their foundation. On the contrary, it will be hired to direct the new research center, and teach the new degree course, to study the relationship of children with play, education, development and learning. The lucky one will also examine how the game can help to improve children educational experience.
This unusual position was created by the university after receiving $ 6.2 million (£ 4 million) donation from the Lego Foundation (which holds the 25% of the Danish toy company), which aims “to make children’s lives better – and communities stronger – by making sure the fundamental value of play is understood, embraced and acted upon.”
The successful candidate will begin to work at the university in October this year, after a rigorous selection process by a Cambridge board.
Fan of buildings, you just have to prepare your CV!
