The quality of data from laboratory experiments is emerging as a fundamental element, both for the development of new solutions and for the daily technical support service to customers. In particular, the thermal management market is becoming a dynamic and rapidly evolving field, especially in sectors related to industrial automation and digitization, requiring speed in innovation and greater reliability in the creation of technical documents. And it is precisely in this direction that we at Fandis are perfecting ourselves.
Laboratory procedures according to ISO/IEC 17025
In pursuing high standards, the operational procedures of our laboratory are inspired by UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025, which ensures a systematic approach both to internal quality management and when interfacing with external accreditation laboratories using the same methodologies. This commitment enables Fandis to provide reliable and accurate results to its R&D department, useful for the development and continuous improvement of its range, consolidating its position in the industry. Additionally, the most significant experiences for our customers are used to produce technical reports and white papers.
The new airflow chamber
Following the CEI EN 60529 and NEMA standards, in addition to the climatic chambers and the IPX4 and IPX5 water tightness test chamber, we are now welcoming the latest entry into our Fandis laboratory: a brand-new airflow chamber. This instrument differs from existing ones because it is designed to adapt to a wide range of applications, expanding experimental capabilities and providing high-quality data for research and development of solutions in new application segments. In accordance with AMCA-210 and UNI EN ISO 5801, it is equipped with state-of-the-art differential pressure transducers and active pneumatic nozzle control, ensuring precise and reproducible results in every single test.
Up-to-date data
Our R&D equipment is bidirectionally connected to the proprietary management system, in accordance with the Industry 4.0 paradigm. The sharing of laboratory data with the company’s information system fits into the logic of content management, another pillar of digitization, capable of ensuring real-time updating of technical data published on our website, allowing continuous updating for the benefit of customers.
All Fandis products related to air handling and filtration are being subjected to measurements in the new test chamber. Specifically, the chamber allows for the determination of the fan pressure/flow curve in free air, as well as that available on systems with filters, the pressure drop curves of passive filters, and the flow for thermoelectric unit heat exchangers and heaters.
