Bring the kids at work where mom and dad are? We agree!
Also this year Fandis has joined the Mothers (and Fathers) at work Celebration Day, an
initiative promoted by the Corriere della Sera newspaper under the patronage of
the Prime Minister’s Office and the Department for Family Policies,
which allows children to discover where parents spend the day, maybe to associate that
colleague’s name at a face and, in our case, to be protagonists of fun
activities.
This initiative, now for us in its eighth year, is always a moment full of pleasant surprises!
In
tribute to Expo 2015 and the question of food, Fandis proposed to
children from 3 to 12, a cooking workshop led by a professional pastry
chef and two assistant cooks moms. All
participants, worn apron and hat, are suddenly have become young chef,
preparing delicious fruit skewers and decorated sponge cakes, playing
with imagination and enthusiasm their role. Of course the workshop ended with a tasting of their creations, even by parents (who greatly appreciated!).
We
also organized, as a sideline, the seedbed, namely the creation of a
mini orchard in the bottle: a good opportunity to learn about the
natural world through the practice, direct experience and observation,
and also through recycling. Children and young people have in fact decorated and transformed a
simple used plastic bottle in a beautiful vase and then sow lettuce or
basil seedling, that they will continue to grow at home.
Food, nature, respect for resources and… lots of fun!
Fandis thanks to all of the participation.
See you next year!
