Fandis products have in fact been chosen to equip some electric panels of the Luzhnik stadium in Moscow, which will also host the semi-final and final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as well as the inaugural Russia-Saudi Arabia match of 14 June.
The main stage of this competition needed a series of Telecom enclosures for broadcasting, to be cooled with Peltier technology. And, thanks to our Czech dealer, Axima, Fandis has been involved in the supply of 400 thermoelectric units from Bordos range, 200W in c.c. and with IP55 protection rating, 4 for each cabinet.
The Luzhnik Stadium: the star of the World Cup
The Luzhnik Stadium, first known as Central Lenin Stadium, was inaugurated in 1956, as the vital heart of the sports citadel that developed around it. The word “Luzhniki”, used since 1992, translated from Russian means “meadows, fields” because and the stadium is located in Vorobyovy Gory, also known as Sparrow Hills, a series of hills on the right bank of the Moscova river.
The current Luzhniki, however, is the result of a careful and modern renovation thanks to the project signed by local studios SpeeCH and Mosinzhproekt (author of much of the city’s infrastructure renewal) which has provided for the maintenance of the entire external façade and the reconstruction of the internal stadium, becoming a celebration of the architectural heritage of the city of Moscow.
And we are proud to represent our nation, even if not on the playing field!
