Within an enclosure, it’s necessary to maintain optimum thermal conditions to ensure the correct life cycle of the electrical and electronic components installed therein. It’s therefore necessary to avoid certain errors that could compromise the equipment operation and cause malfunctions and possible service interruptions. Today we present some (together with Fandis solutions!):
Dirty Filter Mats
If the electrical panel is subjected to forced ventilation through a fan filter, it’s necessary to replace or clean the mats provided to prevent dirt from affecting the devices’ performance or even hindering the ventilation. The maintenance frequency varies depending on the amount of dust present in the environment and the operating time of the filter assembly.

Oversized Air Conditioner Compared To The Enclosure
Right thermal power is crucial for optimum cooling. An oversized air conditioner can quickly reach the set internal temperature without even dehumidifying the electrical panel evenly. It colds the enclosure but humidity remains: a potentially risky environment for electrical equipment.

Direct Solar Exposure
If installed outdoors, electrical cabinets should not be exposed to direct sunlight as the heat from the irradiation would add up to other internal heat sources and the temperature would rise above the threshold required for the proper operation of the devices, even in the case in which they are not powered.
Here we talk about our products for outdoor applications.
Wrong Disposal Of Power Loads
In order to improve the efficiency of thermal management, it’s also appropriate to distribute the loads within the electrical cabinet, respecting the recommended distances between the various devices, in order to allow air circulation and avoid unwanted “hot spots”.

Live Voltage With Open Door
In the event of interventions on the electrical panel, the voltage should be switched off for safety reasons and the ventilation equipment should stop operating, preventing dust or dirt from entering. One solution is the use of a limit switch device that mechanically activates to interrupt the electrical voltage or the thermoelectric unit operation..
Here are our security devices.
Wrong Ip Or Type Rating
Depending on the installation conditions, a different degree of IP or TYPE protection of enclosures is required. It can, in fact, be exposed to a large number of external factors: presence of water, presence of dusts and solid bodies, presence of corrosive substances, solar irradiation. It is therefore important that the panel provides adequate protection depending on the type of indoor or outdoor application and the usage environment.
