Here in Fandis we are experts about to solve the problem of heat dissipated by the components in enclosures and today we want to introduce our plastic roof exhaust unit of the TP series.
Because you need to dissipate heat inside the electrical panel?
More and more often the causes of malfunctions or failure of electronic equipment within electrical command and control panels can be attributed to thermal problems. Specifically, the conditions of temperature and internal humidity of the enclosure can affect the service life of the components and their operation, and these can be controlled only through a proper ventilation of the cabinet, either naturally or forced.
Why prefer the ventilation through roof unit extraction?
Forced ventilation with extraction from the roof can be used when you need to extract a significant amount of heat and / or the side walls of the control cabinet are blocked by obstacles, walls and walls of other electrical cabinets, or if this condition can occur in the future. The roof exhaust units are used for the direct extraction of heat from the area above the cabinet, facilitating the flow of air and favoring the natural tendency of heat to move upward.
How is the TP roof exhaust unit equipped?
The roof unit is equipped with high head radial fan and is coupled to a IP54 protection ventilation grid with filter to minimize the entry of dust, positioned on the bottom of the cabin. The vacuum generated by the roof unit, installed on the top of the enclosure, draws air outside from the exhaust filter favoring an internal air exchange and heat leakage.
What materials is used to build the TP roof exhaust unit?
The TP series has its main structure made of plastic material, lighter than a conventional metallic roof unit, while we have maintained the top of the plate in aluminium, to preserve a better mechanical support and an optimum dissipation of heat generated by the fan. As regards the installation, the wiring is standard, via terminal block.
The advantages of the TP roof unit:
- heat dissipation out of the electrical panel in order to preserve the functioning of the internal components
- suitable in conditions where a fan on the side wall cannot being installed
- protection against dust and water splashes (IP54)
- lightweight and suitable to heat dissipation materials
