Like every year, with the arrival of summer, a big question comes back: to beat the heat is it better to use a fan or an air conditioner?
Two systems whichwe surely have used at least once in a lifetime and that everyone can claim to know. Actually, fan and air conditioner have peculiarities, with their pros and cons that we will analyze in this post.
The advantages of the fan
Let’s start by talking about the fan, which, as everyone knows, has an immediate effect (just turn it on to taste refreshment), it keeps the natural air (without giving the feeling of dryness which often air conditioners give), and need not be installed (unless on decide to choose one of those models applied to the ceiling).
Regarding costs, the fan is definitely cheaper than an air conditioning system, because it consumes less and costs less to buy.
The advantages of the air conditioner
The air conditioner, for its part, can quickly cool a room (and not just those who sit in front, as happen often with the fan), it allows you to maintain a given temperature for a setted time and, as we mentioned above, it let you adjust the air humidity, that sometimes, it can be very annoying, giving sensation of heat and suffocation.
The cons of the fan
Let’s talk about the cons of fan and air conditioner. We start from the fan, and let’s say, of course, that the first among the disadvantages is not being able to choose either the temperature or the humidity. In addition, the fan should be pointed directly at the point where you want to lower the temperature, and it has no effect on the rest of the environment. Not to mention that be exactly on the flow of a fan when it’s too hot is not properly a healthy choice.
The cons of the air conditioner
The cons of air conditioning systems, however, certainly concern the costs (both related to the purchase, both linked to consumption), to which are added those for the installation, not simple at all. Also, we have to add the fact that, used in a reckless manner, the air conditioner may cause some illness.
In light of these data, we ask you: do you already know what to choose?
Or, if you have already chosen, tell us why in the comments! 🙂
