After 2 years we pick up where we left off. MEE Dubai 2020 was in fact the last exhibition to which Fandis attended before the lockdown.
Everyone’s lives have been affected by the pandemic and the period in which they visited and actively participated in these events seems distant.
The MEE Dubai 2022 edition
We returned to Middle East Energy 2022 full of positivity but a little fearful: if on the one hand there was enthusiasm for an event that has always given great results to Fandis, on the other we feared a low participation and little interest, due to mainly the trouble of moving to foreign countries. But the numbers proved us wrong!
With amazement and satisfaction, we can say that after a timid start, which lasted only a few hours, the fair has come to life: potential customers, whether they are commercial traders or users, have shown themselves interested, attentive to the products and very competent as regards the technical characteristics.
Official data will be published shortly, but over 20,000 visitors are estimated, for over 600 exhibitors from many different countries.
Our customers
The type of customer has not changed compared to that of past editions, on the contrary!, the area is in continuous development and expansion, the sector linked to infrastructure is at its best, power factor correction and distribution panels are the most widespread applications. There is no lack of interest in typical applications in the oil and gas world, control panels for process and auxiliary pumps.
The atmosphere of the fair was sparkling, most of the customers came from the Arabian Peninsula and the geopolitical distances between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar greatly facilitated travel between these two countries: the result is a massive presence of visitors from these areas.
The event, while remaining an important event for the region (Gulf Cooperation Council, South Asia, East Africa and the Maghreb) highlights the substantial absence of exhibitors and visitors from the Far East. The Italian presence showed some important absences, but the main players presented themselves with important and well-structured stands.
The three days of the fair flew by: contacts were numerous, as well as opportunities to meet established customers and business partners from different countries. The fair, in fact, is also a moment of networking between Italian companies with export ambitions, and dialogues and exchanges of information on profitable commercial opportunities and sales channels very often arise.
Towards MEE Dubai 2023
In short, as regards our company, the next appointment with MEE Dubai 2023 has already been set with enthusiasm on the calendar: 6 – 8 March 2023. There are just over 300 days left and we will be ready again!
